A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the tips

During 2021, I was disappointed to see that the pandemic had reversed all progress on single-use plastic reduction, as everything had to be take-away and multi-wrapped to avoid contamination. As a result waste was lining the streets in abundance and some community-minded friends took to tackle the problem with a pledge to litter pick for 365 days, rain or shine around the Pontypridd area.

During the course of this they found hundreds of single use ice-cream spoons, which I cast in resin for this table top. The table has been donated to the local children's library service so they could use it to raise awareness about environmental issues. They are currently using it to deliver activities with the children and it is going on tour around the libraries in the area.
