“Atmospheric and extraordinary poetry, unsettling, beautiful and vulnerable”
“Barddoniaeth atmosfferig ac anghyffredin, diymhongar, hardd a bregus”
Rhannu effaith personol colli golwg mewn gosodiad celf theatrig ymgollol a grëwyd gan yr arlunydd Bridie Doyle-Roberts
Ar ôl darganfod bod ganddi gyflwr dirywiol ar ei llygaid, mae Bridie Doyle-Roberts yn camu i fyd ansicr lle mae dallineb yn dynesu.
Trwy ddefnyddio ei thaith bersonol hi wrth golli ei golwg mae Bridie yn creu ymdeimlad o berygl ac ansicrwydd os na allwch ymddiried yn yr hyn y mae eich llygaid yn ei ddweud wrthych. Mae eitemau domestig fel cadeiriau a lampau, sy’n amrywio o ran y peryglon y maent yn eu creu, a seinwedd driphlyg o farddoniaeth ddwyieithog, synau naturiol a chyfansoddiad cerddorol (y gellir eu clywed trwy setiau pen) yn creu profiad personol ac ymgollol lle gall y gynulleidfa archwilio’r gweithiau celf trwy eu teimlo.
Sharing the personal impact of sight loss in an immersive theatrical art installation created by artist Bridie Doyle-Roberts
Having discovered she has a degenerative eye condition, Bridie is stepping into the uncertain world of impending blindness.
By drawing upon her personal sight loss journey, Bridie evokes a sense of danger and uncertainty if you cannot trust what your eyes tell you. Domestic items of furniture and lamps with varying degrees of hazards, and a triple soundscape of bilingual poetry, natural sounds and musical composition by Simon McCorry (accessed via headsets) creates an intimate experience where the audience can explore the artworks via touch.
